Himalayan (or Tibetan) singing bowls are used on or off the body to induce deep relaxation and relieve physical and emotional pain. Singing bowls have the physiological effect of balancing the right and left hemispheres of the brain, naturally inducing a meditative state, engaging the parasympathetic nervous system and increasing the production of melatonin and seratonin. These ancient singing bowls have been found to be helpful in dealing with the effects of chemotherapy, as well as depression, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and other stress-related autoimmune disorders. Thus they are a wonderful addition to any type of healing practice.
Due to their effects on the brain waves, inducing deep alpha and theta states they are also remarkable tools for meditation, consciousness and deep transformational work.
This workshop will introduce participants to the power of these simple tools and how they can be integrated into a personal practice, a spiritual discipline or a healing practice.
Authentic antique Himalayan singing bowls will be available for purchase at the workshop.
This course will provide 6 “hands-on classroom” CEUs for FL Licensed Massage Therapists.
