Kirtan is an expression of Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga of Devotion, manifest through music, dance and worship. It is the singing over and over of the many names of God and Goddess, reaching into the depths of the heart. Let us join our voices and hearts together to ring in 2026 in a joyful way, with call-and-response chanting of sacred Sanskrit mantras. “The many benefits of chanting mantras include healing the body, protecting the mind, and connecting the chanter with the divine.”
“Brahmabhuuta hote kaya cha kirtani” - Tukaram
“Through repeating God’s name, the body becomes divine.”
[as quoted in Play of Consciousness, by Swami Muktananda]
