3rd Annual Women’s Sound Healing Retreat

A spiritual retreat for women of all ages to rediscover, remember and celebrate the coming of spring and the beauty of you through the healing power of sound, music, expressive art therapy and movement.

This year’s sound healing retreat will be held at the beautiful Gleanings Resort, a large beautiful home nestled on a mountainside with a majestic view of the Smoky Mountains above the small town of Robbinsville, North Carolina. Please join us as we spend three days swimming together in the divine current of sacred sound in this beautiful environment which will be bursting with life.

Arrive on Thursday and take time to settle in and explore the grounds and surrounding area. There is so much beauty, and plenty of things to see and do in the area- the Nantahala Outdoor Center, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, and Yellow Creek Falls are but a few. You may even decide to come a day early or stay a day or two longer to do some extra hiking or exploring and absorb more of the energy of the mountains.

Our first group gathering will be Thursday after dinner when we will begin our intention setting with the now traditional Wonder Women Bingo that is such a fun way for us all to connect, laugh and get to know each other, as we enter into three days of blissful sound immersion together. Friday morning our time together begins with a Vision Quest- a morning sound journey will be the vehicle for our vision. After the sound journey we will crystallize our intentions formed in the spirit realm by creating vision boards. From there we will move into various practices over the next three days to allow us to go ever more deeply, remembering always that our purpose is to be the fullest manifestation of who we truly are.
Some of the practices will include, but are not limited to:

• kirtan- the joyful call-and-response singing of the many names of the Goddess

• evening gong puja with free-form movement

• healing sound journeys

• trance dance

• morning yoga

• sacred sound circles

• expressive art therapy

• vision quest with sacred sound

• vision boards

• sunrise sound journey

• toning and chanting

• and a few surprises!!!

ACCOMODATIONS:
The accommodations are comfortable, elegant and very affordably priced. The main house has 3 large luxury suites, each with a full kitchen or kitchenette, a sitting area and full bathrooms. There is also a guesthouse on the property, Harvest House which can comfortably accommodate at least 8 people. It has a full kitchen and dining area (huge table!), large gathering area, screened-in porch, 3 bedrooms upstairs plus two twin beds downstairs.

The grounds are beautifully landscaped and overlook the Smoky Mountains with a firepit and hot tub on the property (and a pool but it won’t be open yet). The main house has a huge fully equipped kitchen so all meals (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will be at the house and included in the cost of the retreat.

Due to the flooding from Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina we did not have a retreat in 2025, so next year’s gathering will be even more special! Looking forward to the magic that happens when we come together for the purpose of transformation and healing.
